I have been taking portraits with a Rolleiflex 6x6 for various years. The portraits have been taken to groups that played in Sala Clap (Mataró). The Sala Clap is a small concert venue ruled by lousy people and music lovers. With capacity for 700 people, before starting the concerts I have 3 minutes (no more no less) to take a picture of the group or artist about to play. In most occasions I can only take one snap (like it happened with Manu Chao and Max Calavera, both reluctant to be photographed); and in other occasions they ask me to take it after the concert (which means that you won’t do it). But the most interesting thing is that after some years of taking live pictures, even having only 3 minutes, I have been able to see who they really are and play with their persona.
